Who We Serve

Our Recipient Agencies

Each Recipient Agency selected provides necessary services and support vital to the wellbeing of area women and children. CASA of River Valley

CASA of River Valley works to ensure that all of the abused and neglected children served find safe and secure homes where they are able to recover from their past and look towards a brighter future. CASA acts as the child’s voice in court, helping to navigate the confusing maze of the juvenile court system and making sure that the child’s needs are met. More than 90% of the children served come from low-income families. Donations from individuals ensure that the children served receive the services they need free of cost. It costs CASA $1,000 per child, per year to offer services. The barriers to recovery from abuse and neglect may seem insurmountable, but they can be overcome with community support.

Guardian Angel Community Services

Guardian Angel assists women who are victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Donations provide the Groundwork Domestic Violence Program at Guardian Angel Community Services with the ability to meet their clients’ needs in many ways. Last year, Groundwork replaced an outdated freezer in their shelter kitchen and purchased brand new beds for client use. The donation also assists in providing the sheltered women and children with food, basic need items, and ongoing supportive services.
